MEDITERRANEAN CRUISES

GULET CRUISES

Gulet Cruise

Sometimes you want total relaxation, total seclusion and total privacy. This is when you go cruising on board a Gulet (traditional wooden yacht). Sail along a green, lush coastline; anchor in a tranquil bay; feel the light summer breeze; swim in the clear turquoise waters; go onshore to experience the natural beauty and history. When you are sailing on a Gulet along the magnificent Turkish coast, one thing is sure; you will find paradise.

The most picturesque of the cruising areas is in the south west of Turkey where the Mediterranean meets the Aegean. This is a wonderland of ancient harbours, secluded coves, deserted beaches and idyllic bays, known as the Turquoise Coast.

WHAT IS A GULET?

A Gulet is a traditional wooded vessel originally built to serve as fishing vessels. These have later been modified to accommodate passenger groups numbering between 8 and 18 people. The design of the Gulet allows not only for a huge area of deck space but also for a good number of cabins.

Gulets range in size from 55' to 85' and have between four and 8 double cabins. Each cabin has its own small un-suite and space for storage. A Gulet may or may not be air conditioned, although recently built gulets generally have air conditioning systems.

Covered with a sun awning, the aft deck has a wide area for lounging, and a table and chairs for 'al fresco' dining. Gulets are generally equipped with sun mattresses, snorkelling gear and other sporting equipment. The crew of three, captain, cook and deckhand, are all accommodated in their own quarters.

CABIN CHARTER

Our Gulet cruises are on a 'Cabin Charter' basis. This way you join a group of other people from around the world. It is one of the most relaxing, carefree and economical ways to enjoy the beauty of the Turquoise Coast. Our cabin charters operate weekly during the summer season that runs from May to October, with round trip departures from Bodrum and Marmaris. For the duration of the cruise, the Gulet follows a set route, anchoring in one bay during the day before moving on to another bay or a harbour for the night.
